On the Third Day of Catmas, my true love gave to meee… three French hens who lay a ton of eggs and now I really need baking equipment to use them up.
Okay, maybe that wasn’t the most eloquent verse of the 12 Days of Catmas. I told you it wasn’t easy coming up with equivalents for the original song.
For Day 3 I give you kitchen wares! I love giving kitchen items because I know they will most likely be used (not talking about you, plastic banana slicer).

Here I am, hard at work removing an empty pot from my oven for this photo (blog magic at work!). Happy shopping, everyone!
Clockwise from upper left:
- Steinlen Cats Oven Mitt and Pot Holder from the Met Museum Store, $29.95 – how cute are these? They’re printed with pictures from Steinlen’s Des Chats. Also available on an apron and S&Ps.
- Cat Engraved Wooden Rolling Pin from Etsy, $19.99 – I can’t really think of anything to use this for other than making the most adorable pie crust known to man, but that is reason enough.
- Cat Study Kids Apron from Anthropologie, $24 – for the little Cat Person who dreams of becoming a chef in your life.
- Cat Spatula from Sur La Table, $12 – someone usually gifts me Sur La Table tea towels and spatulas for Christmas and I’m hoping the trend continues this year!
- Cat Study Potholder or Oven Mitt from Anthropologie, $12 – I have these both in blue and in their limited holiday turquoise and metallic from last year. And I bought the blue ones for my mom. I don’t have a problem. I don’t.
- Cat Salt + Pepper Shaker Set from West Elm, $24 – currently on special at $19!
Now for a funny story about these:
Me & the Bestie shopping at West Elm
Me: look at these salt & pepper shakers! So cute.
BFF: oh yeah… I was eyeing those for you.
Me (slowly reaching for them): you know, I don’t think I even have salt & pep-
BFF: maybe you should just not touch those.

Me: oh. right. I never saw them. - Cat Mini Cakestand from Anthropologie, $16 – I have visions of serving my cats Fancy Feast on this tiny cake pedestal.
- Thirstystone 2 Piece Acacia Cat Serving Board with Mouse Spreader from Wayfair, $22.99 – for the cat lady who has almost everything.
- Fringe Studio Funny Cat Canvas Tote from Nordstrom, $24 – to save you 5¢ when going to the grocery store, and to look super cute doing it.
- Cat Buy Me Love Tea Towel Set from Modcloth, $19 – love the pattern on both of these! There’s just something about tuxedo cats that always puts a smile on my face.
- Cat Kitchen Towel from Sur La Table, $10 – paired with the spatula, this is the purrfect hostess gift for the cat lady in your life.
Stay tuned for Day 4 tomorrow!
