Happy Fri-yay!
Welcome to my inaugural “Friday Favorites” post. I will attempt to do this every Friday, but please allow me a little grace on that; this blogging ish is like a full-time job (and I already got one of those).
Anyways! Onto the Favorites.
Favorite Door Adornment:

This Pom Society Wreath from Anthropologie, $118. I’m not a year-round wreath person, I don’t usually have one during the months of January-September. I don’t know why. I guess I find wreaths made of eggs or shamrocks a little too forced. This one is pricey, but would be a super fun rainy-day DIY!
Favorite Festive Shoe:

These Floral Block Heels from LOFT, $89.50. Aren’t these lovely? I’ve been itching to try the velvet/floral embroidery trend for a while now and ordered these while LOFT was having an online Halloween flash sale. I haven’t gotten them yet but I can’t wait to wear them everywhere this Fall! A suggestion from a former LOFT girl: never ever buy anything from LOFT full price unless you are absolutely desperate to have it that minute. They have 40% and sometimes even 50% off everything every one to two weeks.
Favorite Pumpkin Thing:

Aptly named Best Ever Pumpkin Muffins from Lovely Little Kitchen. I’m not even a huge pumpkin fan, but I ended up with a can of Libby’s pumpkin and needed something to do with it. These muffins really are the Best Ever. Already dairy free because they’re made with coconut oil, I use a one-to-one gluten free flour blend instead of all purpose flour, and voila! The perfect gluten free, dairy free pumpkin muffin (I can actually eat dairy so I threw some chocolate chips in there and I highly recommend it).
Favorite (Super Easy) DIY:

This Tomato Cage Plant Stand Hack from Martha Stewart. I love this idea – inexpensive and easily customizable. Pick any color spray paint, and trim the tomato cage to any height you want. Perfect as we go into cooler weather and you need to bring some plants inside (not in LA, but my understanding is that people who experience seasons have to do this). I think they would work great inside or outside, although with my luck the cats would tip them over in a heartbeat.
Favorite Interior:

This studio meeting room redo by Sugar & Cloth. The blush french doors! The Sputnik chandelier! The brass and white chairs! The marble tulip table! The black credenza with the brass hardware! THE PLANT IN THE CORNER! Basically, all of it. It all speaks to this girl’s midcentury modern sensibilities and I want to go buy blush paint like right now.
Favorite Funny:

Personally I think Friday calls for Fancy Pants. I usually save my Smarty Pants for Mondays.
Favorite Sparkle:

This OBEY Sequin Bomber from Urban Outfitters, $150. Look at that sparkle!! I love a good sequin jacket, and this one is definitely an investment piece, but think of all the fabulous places you’ll wear it. Parties! Concerts! Target! Urban has several AMAZING sequin pieces right now, so unless you’ve got money burning a hole in your pocket, stay away.
That’s all for this week. Happy Friday and Happy Weekend!
